Qasr al-Hayr al-Sharqi is an Umayyad desert complex in the Syrian steppe east of Homs. It combined residence, guard, and agriculture in an arid setting through walls, gates, and basins. Its Umayyad character and desert site make it valued by Islamic history visitors.
قصر الحير الشرقي مجمع أموي صحراوي يقع في البادية السورية شرق حمص. يجمع بين وظائف السكن والحراسة والزراعة في بيئة قاحلة عبر أسوار وبوابات وأحواض. يمنحه طابعه الأموي وموقعه الصحراوي قيمة خاصة لعشاق التاريخ الإسلامي والآثار.
