Mari is an ancient river city at Tell Hariri on the Euphrates in eastern Syria. It is known for palaces and archives documenting administration and trade in the Syrian Mesopotamian world. Its river setting and rich finds make it valued by archaeology visitors.
موقع ماري الأثري مدينة نهرية قديمة عند تل الحريري على الفرات في شرق سوريا. عُرفت بقصورها وأرشيفاتها التي توثّق الإدارة والتجارة في بلاد ما بين النهرين السورية. يمنحه موقعه النهري وغنى المكتشفات قيمة خاصة لعشاق الآثار والحضارات القديمة.
