The Chapel of Saint Ananias is a small ancient church below street level in the Bab Sharqi quarter of old Damascus. Tradition identifies it with the house of Ananias linked to the baptism of Paul, and it keeps a plain stone vault from the early Christian centuries. Its underground depth, simplicity, and early Christian associations make it valued by faith and history visitors.
كنيسة القديس حنانيا كنيسة أثرية صغيرة تقع تحت مستوى الشارع في حي باب شرقي داخل دمشق القديمة. تُنسب إلى بيت حنانيا المرتبط بقصة تعميد بولس الرسول، وتحتفظ بقبو حجري بسيط يعود إلى القرون المسيحية المبكرة. يمنحها عمقها تحت الأرض وبساطتها وارتباطها بتاريخ المسيحية المبكرة قيمة خاصة لزوار الإيمان والتاريخ.
