Azm Palace – Damascus

Azm Palace is a historic Damascene residence near the Umayyad Mosque inside the old city. Built by the governor As‘ad Pasha al-Azm in the mid-eighteenth century, it arranges family and reception wings around courtyards with fountains and citrus trees. Striped ablaq stone and painted wooden ceilings make it valued by visitors of traditional Damascene architecture.

قصر العظم قصر دمشقي تاريخي يقع قرب الجامع الأموي داخل مدينة دمشق القديمة. بناه والي دمشق أسعد باشا العظم في منتصف القرن الثامن عشر، ويوزّع أجنحة السكن والضيافة حول أفنية فيها بحرات وأشجار حمضيات. يمنحه الحجر الأبلق وزخارف الأسقف الخشبية قيمة خاصة لزوار العمارة الدمشقية التقليدية.
