Qal‘at Najm

Qal‘at Najm is a castle on a high mound above the right bank of the Euphrates in eastern Aleppo countryside. It was fortified in the Ayyubid period over an older site to watch the river crossing and the trade road toward the Jazira. Its command of the Euphrates and its preserved towers and gates make it valued by castle and history visitors.

قلعة نجم قلعة أثرية تقوم على تل مرتفع فوق الضفة اليمنى لنهر الفرات في ريف حلب الشرقي. حُصّنت في العهد الأيوبي فوق موقع أقدم لمراقبة معبر النهر وطريق التجارة نحو الجزيرة. يمنحها إشرافها على الفرات وأبراجها وبواباتها المحفوظة قيمة خاصة لعشاق القلاع والتاريخ.
